Call for Submissions – The MAIN’s 2026 Theatre Season
The City of Santa Clarita invites theatre companies and artists to submit proposals for The MAIN’s 2026 season. We’re seeking dynamic and engaging productions that will resonate with our diverse community and contribute to Santa Clarita’s vibrant cultural landscape.
The MAIN is committed to showcasing compelling stories, innovative performances and productions that inspire audiences and spark conversation. We welcome a variety of theatrical styles and genres and encourage submissions that reflect the diversity of our community.
Selection Criteria
To ensure a balanced and successful season, The MAIN will consider the following criteria:
- Artistic Merit:
- Strength of the script and narrative
- Originality and creative vision
- Quality of the proposed direction and design
- Audience Engagement:
- Potential to attract and connect with diverse audiences
- Relevance to the Santa Clarita community
- Balance of familiar and challenging works
- Consideration of audience interests and demographics
- Marketing Effort:
- Detailed strategy to promote the event and reach the target audience through various marketing channels
- Practical Feasibility:
- Alignment with The MAIN’s technical capabilities and stage specifications
- Availability of performance rights and licenses
- Venue availability and scheduling
- Revenue:
- A review of past revenues from your productions at The MAIN
