FOOD SESSIONS combines community, food knowledge and entertainment. The show is about food and bringing the community together. This is an opportunity to learn, share and appreciate the many flavors of Santa Clarita.

New episodes of FOOD SESSIONS can be seen every fourth Thursday of the month. Episodes will be featured on the City of Santa Clarita’s YouTube channel, making them leisurely accessible! Chef Tamra Levine
With a 25 year successful career in Sports Medicine, Chef Levine found a true passion in the Culinary Arts. After attending the Southern California School for Culinary Arts (Le Cordon Bleu), she began a lucrative catering company and taught Culinary Arts part-time at her Alma Mater.
Chef Levine has taught an array of Culinary classes at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita and Los Angles Mission College in Sylmar. She is currently devoted full-time as the Director of Catering for Salt Creek Grille Catering and Owner of a boutique catering and event planning company, Heritage Lane Productions.
Capturing the attention of Santa Clarita, Salt Creek Grille Catering produces food and event styling for both Social and Corporate clients. Expanding her culinary horizons, Chef Levine has successfully completed Level Two Sommelier Studies with the International Sommelier Guild.
Last, but not least, she is happily married to Jeff and they have one son, Joshua.

Chef Todd Wilson
Todd R. Wilson is CEO and co-founder of feedSCV, a Santa Clarita Valley-based charity focused on making sure local residents have the knowledge, skills and resources to have a homemade meal, every day. Todd is also the creator and curator of the Santa Clarita Foodies online community. When he is not busy in the test kitchen or packing bags of food, Todd enjoys bicycling, camping and barbecuing. A resident of Santa Clarita since 2006, Todd lives in Plum Canyon with his wife and two children, and will never refuse an invitation for sushi.



Chef Alexis Shahin
Formerly a professional pastry chef, Alexis Shahin spent 8 years working in the Los Angeles area. Alexis’s specialty was creating showpieces, wedding and celebration cakes. She spent time working for the Roosevelt Hotel as the Resident Cake Artist. During her residency, Alexis made cakes for various Hollywood stars and shows such as Gordon Ramsey and Fox’s “The Simpsons.” Alexis left the baking and pastry field in 2013. Currently, you can find Alexis working in the Santa Clarita, CA area as a yoga and meditation specialist. She helps professionals, teachers, students and local residents from all walks of life discover ways to de-stress and relax in this fast-paced world.



Mel Carll is an SCV based commercial photographer who regularly photographs for “Inside SCV Magazine” and local real estate agents. Carll specializes in real estate photography. Mel is a certified KCBS BBQ Judge and has a passion for anything BBQ. At home, he enjoys cooking on my ‘Big Green Egg’ smoker!
