MEET THE “HOMETOWN HIGHLIGHT”
Chef Sabina Fetter
Chef Sabina Fetter, CC, American Culinary Federation Certified Culinarian/Chef, was first introduced to cooking by her aunt who had a large extended Sicilian Italian family of DeVito’s and Gallo’s. Her aunt ran a small catering and events company which was where Sabina got her culinary feet wet as a young girl into her teens and where her love for food and the art of Italian and Mediterranean foods began. While in college, she worked as a fry and line cook, in addition to supporting the cold prep area of a very popular local Italian restaurant.
Sabina has recently decided to return to her first love of the culinary arts. Several years ago, she helped to reopen the kitchen at the American Legion, which sadly, due to the pandemic had to close. Following her time with American Legion, she went back to school to receive her degree with high honors in the Culinary Arts from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Currently, Sabina is a Chef at the Los Angeles VA working closely with an ancillary program that helps homeless veterans off the streets and back on the road to success.
